I need to talk about something that's been bothering me lately - the garbage disposal situation here in Murgesh Palya, Bengaluru. It's honestly becoming unbearable.

The current system of garbage collection by the municipal corporation is grossly inadequate and is causing significant issues for residents in the area.

The frequency of garbage collection is extremely insufficient, with the municipal corporation vehicle collecting waste only once or twice a week, often during inconvenient office hours, typically after 11 am. This irregular schedule means that residents are forced to store their garbage for extended periods, leading to decomposition and unbearable odors. Additionally, the compact nature of rented houses in Bengaluru makes it impossible to store garbage for more than a day, resulting in infestations of cockroaches and other pests.

It is imperative that the BBMP take immediate action to address this pressing issue. One potential solution could be to establish area-wise bins where residents can deposit their garbage for collection. This would alleviate the burden on individuals who are unable to be present during the limited collection hours.

Furthermore, the current state of affairs has led to widespread littering, with many individuals resorting to dumping garbage on the roadside due to the lack of proper collection services. This not only contributes to environmental degradation but also poses health hazards to residents.

I urge the BBMP to prioritize the improvement of garbage disposal services in Murgesh Palya to ensure the well-being and cleanliness of the community. Immediate action is necessary to address this issue and prevent further deterioration of the area.
